[Easy] Chao bo Recipe – Vietnamese beef porridge

In Vietnamese cuisines, there are many dishes made with beef thanks to the various cooking ways, the variety of spices and differences between regions. Talking about the dishes of beef , you must mention Phở Bò ( Beef noodle soup), Bún bò Huế (Hue spicy beef noodle soup)…These dishes have brought the reputation for Vietnamese cuisine. Although being not as popular as Pho and Hue spicy beef noodle, Beef porridge is also an interesting option that Vietnamese people choose in their daily meals.

Especially in the menu of health care for patients or children, Beef porridge is an exquisite option. Vietnamese Beef porridge with the main ingredients is beef which combined with vegetables will provide you with a lot of energy.

Ingredients for Cooking Beef porridge with vegetables

  • Beef: 200gr
  • 1 potato
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • A teaspoon of seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon of MSG
  • ½ bowl of rice

Instructions on how to cook minced beef porridge with vegetables

Step 1:

Washing beef, chopping, putting into a bowl.

Peeling carrot, potato, Dicing into small pieces, putting into the plate.

Step 2:

Rinse the rice then put into a pot with 1 liter of water; Place it on the cooker and boiling.

When the water is boiled, you can cook with low heat, add diced carrots, potatoes, cook for about 10 minutes for softness.

Step 3:

When the porridge is cooked and pulpy, add 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of seasoning, 1/2 tsp of MSG.

Mix beef with a little water to avoid sticking, putting beef into the pot, stirring for 1 minute, turning off the cooker.

Note: Should not cook beef too long because it may make beef  tough.

Step 4: Ladle beef porridge into a bowl and enjoy
