I. Ingredients for Vietnamese Chicken Cabbage Salad
- 250gr of cabbage
- Half of an onion
- Chicken breast or chicken drumstick
- Salt, sugar
- Half of a carrot
- 1 horn pepper
- 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoons of rice vinegar
II. How to cook Vietnamese chicken cabbage salad
Wash and boil the chicken breast, then cool it down and shred. Wash cabbage, drain, slice it, then put cabbage in 1 bowl, add 1 tablespoon of salt and mix well. Marinate for 10 minutes to make the cabbage soft and crispy. Remove water from the cabbage and drain it.
Peel off and wash the onion, slice and put into a bowl with 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar and mix well. Marinate for 15 minutes, then remove water to make the onion not to be pungent.
Peel off and slice carrots. Choose and wash fresh basils, cut them into short pieces. Chop chili.
Mix fish sauce: 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, chopped chili and stir to dissolve the sugar.
Put cabbage in a bowl with onions, basil, carrots, shredded chicken and the mixture of fish sauce, then put on gloves and mix the ingredients well.
