Cooking taro sweet soup is very simple. Taro sweet soup is made from common ingredients such as sugar, tapioca flour, coconut milk, and fresh milk; so you can make a delicious and fresh dish immediately. Let’s discover how to cook this dish with the recipe right below!




Ingredients for Taro sweet soup

  • 1 Taro
  • 220 ml non-sugar fresh milk
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 80g sugar
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 100g tapioca pearls
  • Sesame or roasted peanuts

Steps for making Taro sweet soup

Step 1:

Soak tapioca pearls in water for 1 hour to expand.

Peel the taro, cut it into bite-size pieces, soak in salty water for 15 minutes.

Step 2:

Wash taro with water for several times, add sugar, salt, fresh milk, ½ cup of water and cook.

Step 3:

Boil over low heat until the taro becomes tender, add coconut milk and tapioca pearls, boil it and turn off the cooker.

You can add 1 tsp of corn starch to create a smooth paste before turning off the cooker.

Step 4:

When it gets cold, ladle it out, sprinkle sesame and enjoy it.
