- 2 cucumbers
- 1 carrot
- 100g of shrimp
- 100g of bacon
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 30g peanuts
- 4 garlic cloves, 1 small pepper
- Onions (optional)
How to make Vietnamese Shrimp Salad
– Grate carrots, marinate it with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, mix well and wait for 15 minutes. Squeeze the carrots to reduce water, then shake them out.
-Wash cucumbers, cut into small pieces, marinate with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, mix well. Use your hands to remove all the water out of the cucumber, let the cucumber dry.
-Peel and devein shrimp then boil it. Boil meat, cut into bite-size pieces. Fry peanuts without cooking oil, pound it. Cilantro is washed and chopped.
– Make fish sauce: 2 teaspoons of water, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of fish sauce, chopped chili garlic, mix together. Mix this mixture with carrot, cucumber, shrimp, meat and marinate for 15 minutes. When eating, add cilantro, mix well and then sprinkle crushed peanuts on the top of the salad.
