Ingredients for ga xao sa ot recipe:

  • 1/2 whole chicken
  • 2 lemongrass stalks
  • 2 chili peppers
  • 1 red shallot
  • 1/2 garlic
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • Caramel water, seasoning, salt, oil

Directions for making ga xao sa ot recipe:

Step 1:

Squeeze chicken with a little salt and wash again, dry it and chop into bite-size pieces.

Step 2:

Wash lemongrass and chili peppers, slice into slight pieces, chop onion and garlic.

Step 3:

Add chicken into a bowl with a little seasoning, fish sauce and stir them, marinate in about 20 minutes to make chicken absorb spices and be richer when being fried.

Step 4:

Put a pot or pan on the stove with 1 tbsp of oil, then add chopped garlic and onion, fry until they are fragrant and add lemongrass, chili pepper.

Step 5:

Add chicken and fry together, stir to make chicken firm, then add a little sugar, caramel water, add a little water, stir until chicken is cooked, check spices to fit your taste

When water in the pot has just drained and chicken is cooked, turn off the stove, take them out and put into a dish, eat with hot rice.
